A temporary Whitby bus stop closure begins Thursday, October 8, as construction continues at Thickson Road and Rossland Road.
Durham Region Transit says stop 283, on northbound Thickson Road at the south side of Rossland Road, will be unavailable until further notice.
Temporary stop about 200 metres south
Route 905 riders can use a temporary stop approximately 200 metres south of the intersection on northbound Thickson Road at William Stephenson Drive.
DRT also lists stop 93185, northbound at 3193 Thickson Road, as an alternative north of Rossland Road.
The transit notice does not provide an expected reopening date. The closure remains tied to construction activity at the intersection, so riders should check current service alerts before travelling.
Passengers who require an accessible boarding location should allow extra travel time and confirm which alternative stop best meets their needs. DRT customer service is available at 1-866-247-0055.
The notice affects stop access rather than the full route. DRT did not announce a route 905 cancellation or a broader schedule change.
