Clarington rural road resurfacing has expanded to three additional sections, with work expected to continue into November.
The municipality added Concession Road 3 from Regional Road 42, also known as the Darlington-Clarke Townline, to Mearns Avenue; Solina Road from Baseline Road to Bloor Street; and Rundle Road from Nash Road to 1,910 metres north of Nash Road.
Drainage and road-surface work planned
The program includes drainage improvements, asphalt reclamation, grading, resurfacing and slurry-seal treatment.
Drivers should expect temporary lane restrictions, short-term road closures and delays while crews are working. Clarington says waste collection and mail delivery will continue during construction.
The schedule is approximate and may change because of weather, site conditions or other construction factors. Work on the newly added roads is expected to run until November 2026.
The Clarington rural road resurfacing program is intended to improve both pavement conditions and roadside drainage on rural routes.
