Clarington lane restrictions are continuing on Bowmanville Avenue, Durham Regional Highway 2 and Stevens Road while Durham Region completes road rehabilitation and paving.
The restrictions are scheduled through October 31, weather permitting.
Three road sections are affected
On Bowmanville Avenue, the work zone extends from 50 metres south of Highway 2 to 200 metres north of Stevens Road. Restrictions on Highway 2 run from 110 metres west of Boswell Drive to 230 metres east of Bowmanville Avenue. On Stevens Road, they extend from 60 metres west to 130 metres east of Bowmanville Avenue.
Drivers may encounter delays while crews and equipment are present.
Road rehabilitation and paving underway
Durham Region says the restrictions are required to complete the work safely. Drivers are asked to use caution around pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
The Region’s Traffic Watch map provides current road information. Travellers should check conditions before using the affected routes.
The Clarington lane restrictions are expected to be removed after work is completed.
