The City of Pickering has received planning applications for a major high-density residential development proposed for Kingston Road.
According to city officials, the applicant—1095 Kingston Road—has submitted requests for a Zoning By-law Amendment, Draft Plan of Condominium, and Draft Plan of Subdivision for a project that would consist of two buildings featuring four residential towers, each rising 35 storeys.
The proposal includes a total of 1,492 residential units, making it one of the larger condominium developments currently under consideration in Pickering.
The site is located at the southwest corner of Kingston Road and Dixie Road, north of Highway 401, with the municipal address listed as 1095 Kingston Road.
As part of the application, the developer is seeking to rezone the property to permit apartment dwellings and to introduce site-specific zoning standards. These include regulations for floor space index (FSI), building height, podium design, setbacks, tower floor plate size, indoor and outdoor amenity space, and parking requirements for both residents and visitors.
The applications will undergo review by city planning staff and be subject to public consultation and council consideration before any decisions are made.
