St. Christopher staff spent part of the October 26 Professional Activity Day in prayer and reflection at Oshawa Botanical Gardens, according to a new Durham Catholic District School Board account.
The activity was led by the board’s Adult Faith Animator and brought staff together for a walk through the gardens. The board describes the gathering as an opportunity to pause, connect with colleagues and reflect on faith in an outdoor setting.
As part of the exercise, each participant released a rock into the creek while offering a personal prayer. The school account describes the action as symbolically setting aside worries and stresses.
The account links the activity to spiritual well-being and mutual support among colleagues as they continue their work with students and families. It does not announce a new school programme, funding commitment or public event.
St. Christopher Catholic School is located on Annapolis Avenue in Oshawa. The St. Christopher staff gathering was reported by the board on October 26, 2026; the source does not provide a participant count or a precise time for the garden walk.
