A Harmony Creek trail closure will affect a section of the Oshawa route and several bridges for about four weeks this fall.
The City of Oshawa says the portion behind Delpark Homes Centre will close from Tuesday, October 13 through Tuesday, November 10 for scheduled repairs.
The affected area is behind the recreation complex at 1661 Harmony Road North. Trail and bridge entrances and exits at the rear of the library will be inaccessible during the work.
Four access points affected
The city also lists access points at Irvine Scott Street, Irvine Scott Court and Coldstream Drive as unavailable during the closure.
Trail users should plan another route before reaching the closed section. The notice does not identify a signed detour, describe the bridge repairs or state whether the work depends on weather conditions.
The announced end date is November 10. Residents should check the city’s current notices before travelling because construction schedules can change.
The closure applies to the trail and bridges behind Delpark Homes Centre. The city notice does not announce a closure of the recreation complex or library itself.
