A Durham College karaoke skate night will combine music, food and a late-evening session on the ice in Oshawa on Thursday, October 15.
The Durham College Student Association is organizing the event at Campus Ice, in North 2200. Karaoke begins at 8 p.m., followed by a free skate at 10:15 p.m.
Free poutine and skate rentals
The first 50 students at the karaoke portion will receive free poutine. The later skating session includes complimentary skate rentals for students, according to the college’s event notice.
The notice does not list an admission charge or an advance-registration requirement. It is presented as a student event, so anyone planning to attend should check the official listing for eligibility or access details before travelling.
The event adds an evening social activity to the college calendar while using Campus Ice, the arena on the shared north Oshawa campus. The two scheduled portions are separated by more than two hours, allowing students to attend karaoke before the skating session begins.
October 15 schedule
- 8 p.m.: Karaoke begins; free poutine is available to the first 50 students.
- 10:15 p.m.: Free skating begins, with complimentary skate rentals for students.
Durham College published the current event page on October 6. An older college listing carries the same schedule under the name “After Hours: Karaoke & Skate,” confirming that both pages describe the same October 15 event rather than separate programs.
Students should consult the official page for any schedule or access changes issued before the event.
