A 73-year-old dirt biker is in hospital with serious injuries after losing control of his bike and crashing into a tree in Clarington on Friday morning.

Emergency crews responded quickly to the rural scene and the rider was transported to a Toronto trauma centre, where he currently remains in serious but stable condition, according to police.
