The On the Fly flyball team from Bowmanville’s is preparing to compete in the Flyball Open World Cup in May 2026 after securing a major victory at the CanAm Flyball Classic in October 2025. The team, which trains at K9 Central in Bowmanville, has earned the right to represent Canada on the world stage in this prestigious dog relay race competition.

Flyball is a fast-paced, team-oriented sport where dogs must race over hurdles, retrieve a ball, and return it to their handler. The race is won by the first team to complete all of these tasks, with each dog and handler running in turn. On the Fly demonstrated their exceptional teamwork, speed, and precision at the CanAm Flyball Classic, earning a championship title and a ticket to the Flyball Open World Cup in the UK.
