Durham Regional Police are asking for the public’s help identifying at least three suspects linked to a series of commercial break-ins at eight businesses and restaurants in Oshawa and Clarington.
The Oshawa Clarington Break-Ins occurred over nine days between June 16 and June 24, 2026. Police say the suspects repeatedly entered businesses by smashing glass doors or windows before taking cash, tills, safes and other products. A red sedan was reportedly used to transport the suspects during several incidents.
Eight Businesses Targeted Across Oshawa and Clarington
The first reported break-in occurred on June 16 at the Waltzing Weasel, located at 300 Taunton Road East in Oshawa.
Two Oshawa businesses were targeted the following day. Police say suspects entered the Bulldog Pub at 600 Grandview Street South and Pho Vietnam Restaurant at 299 King Street West on June 17.
The activity then moved into Clarington. Joey’s World Playground at 330 Lake Road in Bowmanville was broken into on June 20.
Police say the suspects returned to Oshawa on June 22, when the Friendly Greek restaurant at 646 King Street East was targeted.
Three more incidents were reported on June 24. The affected locations were Tyrone Mill at 62656 Concession Road 7 in the Clarington community of Tyrone, Toadstool Pub at 701 Grandview Street North in Oshawa and Jack and Joe’s Pub at 570 Longworth Avenue in Bowmanville.
Investigators have not announced the total value of the stolen property or the damage caused at the eight locations. Police have also not said whether anyone was inside the businesses during the break-ins.
Police Release Images of Suspects and Vehicle
Durham police say a group of at least two or three suspects was involved. Images of the individuals and the red sedan believed to have been used during several incidents have been published as part of the public appeal.
Investigators are asking residents, business owners and drivers to review any available surveillance, cellphone or dashboard-camera recordings from the dates and areas involved. Footage showing the red sedan, people approaching the affected businesses or unusual activity nearby could assist the investigation.
Anyone who has relevant video should preserve the original file rather than editing or posting it publicly. Details such as the time, direction of travel, clothing, licence plate information or visible damage to the suspect vehicle may help police identify those responsible.
Business owners are also encouraged to check whether neighbouring properties captured activity before or after each break-in. Even footage recorded several streets away could help investigators establish the suspects’ route between Oshawa and Clarington.

Anonymous tips can be submitted to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward when information assists the investigation.
No arrests or charges had been announced in the initial police appeal. Residents should avoid publicly identifying individuals based only on photographs or speculation and should provide information directly to investigators.
