Families in Durham Region can look forward to a week of entertainment and creative activities as the OC Kids Club returns to Oshawa Centre for March Break, featuring hands-on workshops and a special animal performance.
The popular children’s program will run from March 16 to March 20, 2026, offering daily themed activities designed to encourage kids to discover, create, and explore during the school holiday. The week-long event will kick off with a free performance from the Ultimutts Animal Actors Show, featuring talented rescue animals trained for film and television.
The show will take place on Monday, March 16 at 2:30 p.m., where audiences will see Hollywood-trained rescue cats and dogs performing entertaining tricks and stunts. The animal actors have appeared in various television productions and films and will showcase skills such as skateboarding, tightrope walking, jump rope performances and stunt tricks.
The event will launch the OC Kids Club program, which offers guided activity sessions for children throughout the week.
Activities will be held twice daily from 11 a.m. to noon and from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., giving families multiple opportunities to participate. Each session is limited to 30 children, so organizers recommend families reserve their spots in advance.
Participation costs $20 per session, and each child will receive several items as part of the experience. This includes a $10 Oshawa Centre gift card, activity materials, a keepsake from the OC Kids Club, and a special swag bag.
Parents or guardians must accompany children during the activities.
All proceeds from the OC Kids Club activities will support an important local cause. Organizers say 100 per cent of the funds raised will benefit the Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) at Lakeridge Health, helping provide specialized care for newborns and infants across Durham Region.
Oshawa Centre management says the program is designed not only to provide entertainment for families during March Break but also to support the community.
“Community has always been at the heart of Oshawa Centre,” said Regional Manager Chris Keillor. “OC Kids Club is designed to give families a fun and creative place to spend March Break together while also supporting an important cause that cares for newborns and families across Durham Region.”
Each day of the program will feature a different themed activity for children.
The schedule includes:
-
Monday – Mindful Monday Magic, focusing on creativity and relaxation activities.
-
Tuesday – Patchwork Pals Adventure, where kids can create their own plush toy and decorate a t-shirt with colourful patches.
-
