Whitby Playdium Community Day will offer a limited morning of complimentary gaming on Saturday, November 14, as part of Cineplex’s annual event supporting BGC Canada’s youth programmes.
The venue’s official Whitby page lists the event, and Playdium’s published conditions set out how the free game bands will work. The local attraction is at 75 Consumers Drive.
Free bands are limited and first come, first served
Distribution begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m., or earlier if supplies run out. Each guest is eligible for a maximum of one free, one-hour non-redemption game band. Guests must enter the venue to receive one.
The hour starts when a guest activates the band by tapping it on the first game. Bands must be activated on November 14 between 9 a.m. and 11:59 a.m. The offer does not award redemption points and excludes merchandiser games and photo booths.
Playdium says the band can also be shown for attractions during the morning offer window, subject to capacity. Admission may be staggered to reduce crowding, and neither admission nor band availability is guaranteed.
Purchases support youth programmes
Playdium says $1 from each food-and-beverage transaction and $1 from each game-band purchase throughout the day will support BGC Canada. The organization provides community programmes and supportive spaces for children and young people outside school hours.
Selected food and drinks will also be discounted during the morning. The venue’s terms limit that discount to selected items sold from 9 a.m. to 11:59 a.m.; visitors should check the official page for the applicable items and current conditions.
Whitby Playdium Community Day is part of a broader Cineplex programme that includes participating cinemas and other entertainment venues. The movie-screening arrangements are separate from the Whitby arcade-band rules, so visitors should not assume the same ticketing or activity conditions apply everywhere.
