She succeeds Laura Elliott, whose service was recognized by the university in its September 16 announcement.

The Women's Executive Network recently included Money among Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Honorees for 2026 in the AI and Technology category.

As Ontario Tech board chair, Money will work with other governors and university leadership on strategic priorities, long-term sustainability and institutional oversight.

Four new governors join for 2026-27

The university also announced four new members of the board for the 2026-27 academic year.

External governors Nicole McNeill and Serge Gattesco bring senior leadership experience in public administration, finance, technology, governance and organizational transformation.

Two internal governors were elected. Dr. Peter Lewis, Canada Research Chair in Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence and director of Ontario Tech's Mindful AI Research Institute, will serve as teaching-staff governor. Software engineering student Sameer Qureshi will serve as student governor.

The Board of Governors provides strategic oversight, governance and stewardship for the Oshawa-based university.
