The Youth Art Showcase and Pop-Up Shop is set to bring together creativity, inclusion, and community engagement during a special event in Ajax on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
Hosted at the Ajax Convention Centre, located at 550 Beck Crescent, the event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will highlight artwork created by youth with developmental disabilities alongside products and services from local small businesses.
Organizers say the Youth Art Showcase and Pop-Up Shop is designed to provide young artists with an opportunity to display their creativity while also creating a welcoming space for community connection and support.
The event schedule includes a morning advocacy presentation followed by an afternoon art showcase and vendor market. Doors open at 10:00 a.m., with the advocacy session running from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The presentation will feature speaker Michael Jacques and members of Community Living Ontario’s Youth Advisory Committee, focusing on youth advocacy, inclusion, and community engagement.
Later in the day, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., attendees can explore the art showcase and browse products from local vendors participating in the community market. Refreshments will also be available during the afternoon portion of the event.
