UPDATE — July 20, 2026: A 13-year-old boy who was reported missing from Whitby has been located safely, according to Durham Regional Police.
The Whitby boy found safe had been the subject of a public appeal issued on the morning of July 19. Police previously believed he might have travelled to Toronto.
In an update released July 20, Durham police confirmed that the boy had been located “safe and sound.”
No further details about where he was found or the circumstances surrounding his disappearance were released.
