Healthcare professionals in Durham Region and across Canada can now take advantage of a new weekly savings program from Rexall Pharmacy.
The Rexall healthcare discount, known as Healthcare Hero Thursdays, launched on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026. Eligible healthcare workers who are members of Rexall’s Be Well loyalty program can receive 20 per cent off regular-priced merchandise every Thursday at participating Rexall locations across Canada.
The program is designed to recognize healthcare professionals for the work they do in communities across the country. Rexall says the offer is available to a range of workers, including nurses, physicians, pharmacists, paramedics, personal support workers, medical technicians and other eligible healthcare professionals.
For Durham Region residents, the promotion has local relevance because Rexall currently lists stores in Ajax, Oshawa, Pickering and Uxbridge. Customers should confirm participation with their preferred store before making a special trip because the company describes the promotion as available at participating locations.
Be Well membership required
To receive the Rexall healthcare discount, eligible workers must also be Be Well members. The loyalty program is free to join and allows customers to collect points on eligible purchases.
Rexall says members can continue earning Be Well points while using the weekly healthcare worker offer, subject to the program’s normal rules.
The Thursday discount applies to a wide selection of regular-priced health, wellness, beauty and everyday merchandise sold at participating Rexall stores.
However, several categories are excluded. The promotion does not apply to prescriptions, gift cards, lottery products, postal services, transit tickets, baby formula and diapers, newspapers, cheese, eggs, fresh milk, bread and photofinishing.
Products already on sale are also excluded from the weekly offer. Rexall says the discount cannot be combined with other discounts or coupons.

That means healthcare professionals living or working in those Durham communities have nearby Rexall stores where they can inquire about Healthcare Hero Thursdays.
