The Oshawa food bank charity golf tournament organized by Simcoe Hall Settlement House will return this September, giving golfers and local businesses an opportunity to support residents experiencing food insecurity.
Simcoe Hall’s eighth annual “Fore the Community” Charity Golf Tournament will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Wolf Run Golf Club, located at 51 Golf Course Road in Janetville.
Funds raised through the tournament will support Simcoe Hall’s food bank and other community programs serving children, families, individuals and older adults across Durham Region.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by a buffet breakfast at 9 a.m. Golfers will take to the course for a shotgun start at 10 a.m., with lunch scheduled for 3 p.m.
Registration costs $205 for an individual golfer or $820 for a foursome.
Each registration includes the breakfast buffet, lunch, a golf cart equipped with GPS yardage information, on-course snacks and beverages, and access to the putting green and chipping area.
The tournament will also include contests, prizes, a silent auction, raffles and recognition for the winning foursome.
Simcoe Hall is offering several sponsorship opportunities for businesses and community organizations. Available packages include breakfast, beverage, golf-towel, putting-contest, welcome-bag and individual-hole sponsorships.
Some major sponsorship packages have already been sold.
Tournament Supports Simcoe Hall Programs
Simcoe Hall Settlement House is a multi-service charitable organization based at 387 Simcoe Street South in Oshawa.
The organization operates one of Durham Region’s largest food banks and provides support to more than 3,000 people each month.
Its food bank distributes groceries and essential items to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship. Simcoe Hall currently limits service to 35 clients during its morning session and 35 during its afternoon session because of available food supplies and growing demand.
The organization also operates child and youth programs, after-school activities, services for older adults, holiday food hampers and seasonal community-support campaigns.
Simcoe Hall says the annual golf tournament is its signature fundraising event and helps ensure these programs can continue serving residents across Durham Region.

People who are unable to attend the Oshawa food bank charity golf tournament can still support the organization by making a financial contribution, donating food or organizing a community food drive.
Food and essential-item donations are accepted at Simcoe Hall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Advance registration is recommended because the tournament has limited availability.
