The missing Oshawa teen identified in an earlier police appeal as Zara, 14, has been located.
Durham Radio News has updated its report to say Durham police confirmed the teenager was found. Daily Durham’s report, updated at 2:04 p.m. on October 15, says she was located safe and sound.
Earlier appeal no longer active
Daily Durham attributes the update to Durham Regional Police and reports that police asked people to remove the teenager’s image from circulation. Anyone who shared the earlier appeal should stop circulating it.
This is a substantive update to the earlier missing-person report, not a new disappearance. The available reports do not explain the circumstances in which she was located.
The direct police Instagram post could not be read during verification; the located status is corroborated by the two local reports linked below.
