An Ajax Olive Garden is coming soon to RioCan Durham Centre, giving Durham Region its first location of the popular Italian-American restaurant chain.
The restaurant is planned for 130 Kingston Road East in Ajax, where the Durham Centre’s tenant information lists Olive Garden among the businesses expected to open.
The Ajax location will become Ontario’s third Olive Garden following the brand’s return to the province.
Ajax next after Vaughan and Ottawa
Olive Garden returned to Ontario earlier this summer with a new restaurant at Vaughan Mills.
A second Ontario location is opening Tuesday, August 11, in Ottawa’s Westboro neighbourhood at 675 Kirkwood Avenue.
The Ajax restaurant is expected to follow as the next Ontario opening.
An exact opening date for Ajax has not yet been announced, with the official location page currently listing the restaurant as “coming soon.”
Location planned at RioCan Durham Centre
The Ajax Olive Garden will be located at RioCan Durham Centre along Kingston Road East.
The shopping centre already includes a wide range of retail stores, restaurants and services.
According to the centre’s tenant information, Olive Garden will be positioned several units east of Indigo.

Olive Garden is best known for Italian-American dishes and its unlimited breadsticks, soup and salad options.
Menus at current Ontario locations include favourites such as chicken parmigiana, pasta dishes, alfredo sauces and the “Tour of Italy” combination entrée.
The chain also offers appetizers, lunch-sized meals and take-home entrée options.

Ontario expansion continues
Recipe Restaurant Group is bringing Olive Garden back into the Ontario market after the brand was absent from the province for years.
The Vaughan Mills opening marked the beginning of the latest expansion, followed by Ottawa and now Ajax.
