Luxury country estates dominated the list of the most expensive homes sold in Durham Region last month, with several high-end properties in Uxbridge, Pickering, and Whitby commanding multi-million-dollar price tags.

Topping the list is an extraordinary private estate located at 7300 Concession Road 3 in Uxbridge, which sold for $5,825,000. The four-bedroom, five-bathroom property sits on more than 92 acres of forested land, offering a rare blend of luxury living and natural surroundings.

The estate includes scenic features such as private trails, meadows, a pond, and a stream, creating a secluded retreat in the countryside. Inside the home, the design showcases high-end craftsmanship, including a grand foyer with heated slate flooring and custom lighting. The formal living room features a large stone fireplace and arched windows, while a refined library offers built-in bookcases and solid wood finishes.

The home’s chef-style kitchen includes granite countertops, heated floors, and a large breakfast bar, along with security camera monitors overlooking the gated entrance. The primary bedroom suite features Brazilian mahogany floors, direct access to the outdoor pool area, and a spa-inspired ensuite bathroom.

Additional amenities include a home theatre, games room, gym, sauna, and advanced mechanical systems. Outside, the property also offers a heated saltwater pool, a stone patio, and a guest house with two bedrooms.

The second most expensive property sold last month was another luxury estate in Uxbridge, located at 736 Ball Road, which sold for $2,975,000.

This five-bedroom country property sits on 30 acres of land and offers a wide range of outdoor amenities, including a heated workshop, a barn, fenced paddocks, hay fields, and two stocked ponds. The estate also includes private walking trails and recreational areas such as a sand volleyball court.

Inside the home, a grand two-storey foyer with a curved oak staircase leads to a custom kitchen and a spacious family room with exposed ceiling beams and large windows overlooking the property. The home also features a formal dining room and an entertainment space with vaulted ceilings and a sports bar.

The third most expensive home sold in Durham Region last month is located in Pickering’s Rougemount neighbourhood. The five-bedroom, five-bathroom luxury residence at 1804 Woodview Avenue sold for $2.8 million.

The nearly 4,800-square-foot home includes high-end finishes such as hardwood floors, custom cabinetry, and detailed millwork throughout. The main floor features an executive office, a formal living area, and a dining room with a custom wine closet.

A large chef’s kitchen with a quartz island opens to a spacious family room featuring a dramatic 21-foot coffered ceiling and a floor-to-ceiling fireplace.

Fourth on the list is another Uxbridge property located at 7779 Concession Road 3, which sold for $2,375,000. The home sits on 10 acres of rolling countryside and includes features such as cathedral ceilings, a great room, and an in-law suite.

Rounding out the top five is a luxury bungalow in Brooklin, Whitby, located at 11 Lonetto Street, which sold for $1,550,000.

The four-bedroom home offers nearly 2,000 square feet of main-floor living space and features an open-concept layout, high ceilings, and upscale finishes. The backyard includes an in-ground saltwater pool, hot tub, and landscaped outdoor living areas backing onto green space.

Real estate experts say the sales highlight the strong demand for luxury homes and countryside estates across Durham Region, particularly in communities offering privacy, large properties, and proximity to the Greater Toronto Area.
