Scugog EV charging at the municipal office will be unavailable over the weekend, with a service disruption starting Friday, October 23, at 4:30 p.m.

The Township of Scugog says the charging stations at 181 Perry Street are scheduled to return to service Monday, October 26, at 8:30 a.m.

Alternative charging location listed

In its October 23 notice, the township identifies EV charging stations at the Scugog Community Recreation Centre, 1655 Reach Street, as an alternative during the interruption.

The notice asks residents and visitors to keep the disruption in mind when travelling in the area. It does not state a reason for the pause or announce changes to charging prices, connector types or availability at other sites.

The Scugog EV charging interruption concerns the municipal-office stations specifically. Drivers who intended to charge at 181 Perry Street during the stated period should plan around that location being unavailable and consult the township’s official notice for updates.
