Durham highway closures are expected to impact commuters on Tuesday, February 3, as multiple lane restrictions are scheduled for roadwork across the region.
According to provincial data, Durham highway closures will affect both Highway 401 and Highway 12, with work taking place in Oshawa, Pickering, and Clarington. Several closures involve alternating lane restrictions for short-term maintenance and ongoing infrastructure repairs.
In Oshawa, lane restrictions are scheduled on Highway 401 between Ritson Road and Harmony Road, while Pickering commuters may experience delays between Brock Road and Morningside Avenue. Additional Durham highway closures are in effect eastbound and westbound through Clarington near Highway 35/115.
Highway 12 will also see alternating lane closures between Talbot River Bridge and Atherley Road as part of continued maintenance work.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and consider alternate routes while Durham highway closures remain in place on February 3.
