The Ajax Kingston Road bus stop numbered 1590 has permanently closed, Durham Region Transit announced in a November 3 service notice.

The change is effective November 3, 2026, and affects westbound passengers using Pulse 900 and N1. DRT identifies the closed location as Kingston westbound at Wicks.

Use the stop at Salem instead

Passengers who normally board at stop 1590 are directed to stop 1591, Kingston westbound at Salem. The replacement boarding location is west of Salem Road, according to the transit agency.

The Ajax Kingston Road bus stop notice describes the closure as permanent, rather than a temporary construction detour. It does not announce a change to either route’s timetable or explain the reason for removing the stop.

Riders planning a trip should check their boarding location before heading out and allow for the change in access to the westbound service.
