Durham police are investigating a Clarington business break-in in which witnesses reported seeing five unidentified suspects enter a closed establishment early Monday.
Members of the Durham Regional Police Service’s East Division responded at about 3:15 a.m. on October 5 after receiving a report of a break-and-enter in progress.
Cash and electronics reported stolen
Police said the suspects took an unspecified quantity of cash and some electronics. The business was closed at the time, and no injuries had been reported when the police release was issued.
The responsible police agency did not identify the business or provide descriptions of the suspects. Investigators said the case remains ongoing.
Police ask witnesses to come forward

Anonymous information can be submitted to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or through its website. Crime Stoppers says tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward.
