The Oshawa Santa Claus Parade of Lights is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., Oshawa Tourism confirms on its official holiday page.
The nighttime event brings illuminated floats, music and dancing into the community as part of Oshawa’s seasonal festivities. DurhamRegion.com’s October 30 report says the parade is free for spectators.
Float registration has more than one step
Organizers are accepting float entries through Oshawa Tourism’s official registration process. The entry product is listed at $75 before GST/HST.
Buying an entry alone does not complete registration. Participants must also submit the 2026 Santa Claus Parade of Lights Registration Form and provide proof of insurance.
The organizer requires at least $2 million in liability coverage naming the Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce as additionally insured. Businesses and community organizations should review the current requirements before purchasing or preparing a float.
Check the organizer’s current route map
Oshawa Tourism’s holiday page includes a downloadable 2026 parade map and event information. Families planning to watch the Oshawa Santa Claus Parade should use that current organizer material for route details and check again closer to the event.
The organizer’s route map is the best starting point for choosing a viewing spot. Confirm the route and any related access arrangements directly before setting out.
Residents can follow the official page for any later changes to the schedule or participation instructions.
