An Oshawa Rotary concert will raise money for local food relief when musicians from across Durham Region gather at the Biltmore Theatre on Sunday, December 6.
Feed the Need in Durham announced the ninth annual Rotary Concert to Feed the Need in Durham in an October 27 release. The performance is scheduled for 2 p.m., with doors opening at 1:30 p.m., at 39 King Street East in downtown Oshawa.
Proceeds support the regional food network
The Rotary Clubs of Durham Region present the holiday concert annually. Feed the Need says all proceeds support its work addressing food insecurity in the region.
The organization is Durham’s central emergency food distribution hub, supporting a network of food banks, meal programmes and other community food services. The concert is a fundraising event for that work, not a municipal benefit application or a food-distribution appointment.
Producer Joe Solway, a Rotarian and Feed the Need volunteer, described access to food as a basic need shared across the community. The charity says last year’s concert helped provide more than 60,000 holiday meals. That figure describes the previous event’s contribution; it is not a confirmed total for this year’s fundraiser.
Planning a visit
Tickets and information about the performers are available through the concert’s official website. Residents should consult that site for the current lineup, availability and admission details rather than assume every performer or ticket option is unchanged from previous years.
The Oshawa Rotary concert brings the regional fundraiser back to a downtown venue as local organizations prepare for the holiday season. This announcement establishes the December date and the charitable purpose; the amount raised in 2026 will not be known until the event takes place.
