The Oshawa missing woman identified in an earlier appeal as Geraldine, 77, has been located safe, according to an update from Durham Regional Police.
The police service said on October 31 that the missing 77-year-old woman had been found safe and sound. It asked the public to remove her image from circulation.
Earlier appeal no longer active
Daily Durham also reported the located-safe outcome, updating its earlier account of the Oshawa search. The outlet identified the woman as Geraldine and said the original appeal concerned the area of Stevenson Road North and King Street West.
The new confirmation means residents should not keep sharing the earlier missing-person image as an active search alert. This article does not reproduce that image.
Police release limited details
The police update does not say where the Oshawa missing woman was located or describe the circumstances. Further personal details have not been released in the confirmation, and no additional account of the search is being inferred.
