An Oshawa drug bust case has led to multiple arrests after police uncovered an alleged drug trafficking operation inside a local convenience store.
Investigators from Durham Regional Police’s East Crime Team launched an investigation earlier this month following a tip about illegal activity at All in One Convenience on Park Road in Oshawa. Authorities were told that employees were allegedly selling drugs and exchanging them for alcohol.
As part of the Oshawa drug bust case, police executed search warrants on Wednesday at both the business and a residence in Toronto, with assistance from the Drug Enforcement Unit.
During the operation, officers located a significant quantity of illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, and stolen goods. The items seized included more than 250 bottles of stolen alcohol valued at over $20,000, illegal cigarettes, stolen clothing, and large amounts of cash.
Three individuals were arrested at the store during the investigation.
Mayuresh Mahendran, 22, of Toronto, faces multiple charges including trafficking in fentanyl, crack cocaine, and cannabis, as well as possession of crystal methamphetamine, unmarked cigarettes, and stolen property.
Fredy Biju, 22, of Oshawa, has been charged with trafficking in fentanyl, crack cocaine, and hydromorphone, along with possession of unmarked cigarettes and stolen property.
Emilie Ann Crissinger, 22, of Clarington, is charged with trafficking in fentanyl and crack cocaine, as well as possession of stolen property.
All three accused individuals were held for a bail hearing.
Police allege that the convenience store was being used as a front for illegal drug distribution, forming the basis of the ongoing Oshawa drug bust case.
Durham Regional Police are continuing their investigation and are asking anyone with additional information to come forward.
