The workshop will focus on several key areas, including wills, investments, inheritance, and tax considerations. Participants will learn why having a properly structured will is essential, not only for distributing assets but also for ensuring that loved ones are protected and unnecessary legal complications are avoided. The session will also explore how inheritance planning works and the importance of making informed decisions when transferring wealth between generations.

In addition to estate planning, the Good Financial Stewardship Durham event will highlight the role of investments in building long-term financial security. Attendees will gain a better understanding of how to approach investment decisions responsibly, manage risks, and align financial goals with future plans. Tax considerations will also be discussed, helping participants understand how taxes can impact savings, investments, and inheritance outcomes.

The session will be led by Wayne Harris, a broker and consultant, who will share his professional expertise and real-world insights. His guidance is expected to provide valuable clarity on topics that are often seen as complex or overwhelming. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage with the content and gain practical knowledge that can be applied immediately in their personal financial planning.

Taking place virtually via Zoom from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the event offers convenient access for residents across the region. This online format ensures that more people can participate without the need for travel, making financial education more accessible to the community.

As an added incentive, the organizers are offering gift cards to the first 10 participants who register and complete the workshop. This initiative not only encourages participation but also highlights the centre’s commitment to engaging the community in meaningful learning opportunities.

The Durham Family and Cultural Centre continues to play an important role in supporting the community by offering programs that promote awareness, education, and personal growth. The Good Financial Stewardship Durham event reflects this mission by empowering individuals with knowledge that can have long-lasting benefits for themselves and their families.

With financial stability becoming increasingly important in today’s world, events like this provide a valuable opportunity for residents to take control of their future and make informed decisions with confidence.
