Kinton Ramen Oshawa has opened at 1800 Simcoe Street North, adding a new Japanese ramen restaurant near the Ontario Tech University and Durham College campus area.
The Canadian restaurant chain opened the north Oshawa location in early September, according to INsauga. Kinton’s official location page identifies the restaurant as Simcoe Oshawa and lists Unit 1 at 1800 Simcoe Street North.
North Oshawa location joins growing Canadian chain
Kinton Ramen was established in 2012 and says it now operates more than 55 locations. The Toronto-founded business describes itself as a Canadian brand focused on authentic Japanese ramen.
The opening gives residents, students and workers in north Oshawa another local dining option on the Simcoe Street corridor. It also extends Kinton’s footprint into Durham Region as the chain continues to expand across Canada.
The company’s standard Ontario menu centres on customizable ramen bowls. Customers can choose pork, beef, chicken or vegetarian soup bases, then select flavours including original, shoyu, miso and spicy options.

Kinton lists thin, thick and shirataki noodles among its choices. Its Ontario menu also includes side dishes such as gyoza, karaage, takoyaki, edamame and rice bowls. Availability can vary by location and during a new restaurant’s opening period.
