Outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers in Durham Region are invited to explore local forest trails later this month during a free guided hiking event in Uxbridge.
The upcoming Free Guided Hike – Uxbridge – Secord Forest (Conc. 3) is scheduled for May 25, 2026, from 9:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Hosted by the Oak Ridges Trail Association, the event welcomes both members and non-members interested in spending the morning hiking through scenic forest and meadow trails in the Uxbridge area.
According to organizers, the guided outing will follow portions of ORTA Map 5 – Uxbridge and feature a slow-to-moderate hiking pace over approximately two hours.
Participants attending the Free Guided Hike – Uxbridge – Secord Forest (Conc. 3) will explore areas within Secord Forest and the nearby Goodwood Tract, two well-known natural spaces within Durham Region.
The route includes forest paths, meadow landscapes, scenic pond views, and a few smaller hills along the trail.
Organizers describe the hike as a “there and back” walk suitable for participants looking for a relaxed outdoor recreation experience while enjoying the region’s natural scenery.
