Durham highway closures and lane restrictions are scheduled across the region on and after Friday, September 18, according to Ontario 511 open data.
The daily list contains 57 entries affecting Highway 401, Highway 407 ETR, Highway 412, Highway 7, Highway 7A, Highway 7/12, Highway 12, Highway 35 and Highway 35/115. Some entries begin later in September, while others are already active or continue for several nights.
Restrictions beginning Friday
- Highway 7/12 and Highway 12 between Whitby and Brock have nightly right-lane closures beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday and continuing through September 25.
- Highway 7 between Highway 12 and Christopher Street in Brock has nightly lane restrictions through September 25.
- Highway 12 near Spencers Road and Highway 407 in Whitby has two 15-minute, OPP-assisted full closures scheduled overnight Friday into Saturday.
- Highway 7A eastbound between Highway 7/12 and Nesbitt Line Road near Port Perry has a nightly right-lane closure through September 25.
- One westbound Highway 401 lane between Brock Street and Highway 412 in Whitby is scheduled to close from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
Other continuing Highway 401 work
Longer-running entries include alternating eastbound Highway 401 closures between Brock Road in Pickering and Harwood Avenue in Ajax, and westbound restrictions between Salem Road in Ajax and Brock Road in Pickering. Multiple overnight restrictions are also listed through Oshawa and Clarington.
