A DRT phone disruption is affecting Durham Region Transit’s customer-service and Specialized Services telephone line, with the agency directing riders to call 311 from within Durham Region for assistance.
The transit agency posted a notice dated November 5 reporting intermittent service disruptions on 1-866-247-0055. The alert remained visible on its website during the early-morning November 6 news scan.
Alternatives for riders
DRT says passengers can book On Demand trips through the DRT On Demand app. For route and stop information, its notice recommends the Transit app.
The DRT phone disruption notice describes a problem reaching customer-service and Specialized Services staff by telephone. It does not announce a system-wide cancellation of buses or Specialized Services trips.
The notice does not give a cause or an estimated restoration time. Riders who need assistance should check the agency’s current website alert and use the listed alternatives while intermittent phone problems continue.
