PICKERING, ONTARIO — A popular dessert café known for its picture-perfect presentation and pink aesthetic is preparing to close its doors in Pickering after three years in business.
Dessert Lounge, located at 2200 Brock Road, first opened in 2022 and quickly built a loyal following for its visually striking desserts and comfort-food menu. The café became especially popular on social media, featuring a pink-and-white interior with gold accents and desserts often served on trays accompanied by a rose in a small vase.
The menu offered a wide range of sweet treats, including elaborate sundaes, warm croffles topped with ice cream and chocolate drizzle, milkshakes, Belgian waffles, crepes, cakes, and espresso-based beverages. In addition to desserts, the café also served Halal savoury options, such as chicken-and-waffle plates, poutines, and seasoned fries, making it a favorite spot for both desserts and casual meals.
Owner Mori confirmed the closure in an Instagram video posted on January 2, stating that the café would operate for one final weekend, with Sunday, January 4, marking its last day of service. She explained that the decision was not made lightly and followed months of careful consideration.
Although the physical location is closing, Mori noted that the Dessert Lounge Instagram page will remain active, serving as a platform to share future updates and milestones involving both herself and the café’s staff.
