Oshawa Animal Services is partnering with PetSmart Charities of Canada to help more pets find homes during National Adoption Week, taking place October 19 to 25, 2026.
Throughout the week, residents can meet adoptable kittens, cats and small animals at participating PetSmart locations and learn more about the adoption process from staff and volunteers, according to the City’s notice.
Oshawa Animal Services will be at PetSmart Oshawa North, 891 Taunton Rd. E., and PetSmart Ritson, 222 Ritson Rd. N., Unit 1. Potential adopters can spend time with the animals, ask questions and find a pet suited to their household and lifestyle. Animals currently available for adoption can also be viewed on the City’s adoption page.
