Durham highway closures connected to 55 scheduled construction and maintenance operations may affect drivers on Saturday, September 19.
The work covers sections of Highways 401, 407 ETR, 412, 7, 7A, 7/12, 12, 35, 35/115 and 48. Many entries are overnight or alternating-lane restrictions rather than full highway closures.
Highway 401 work spans southern Durham
Several Highway 401 projects affect Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa and Clarington. Nightly lane closures continue between Brock Road and Whites Road in Pickering, Salem Road and Brock Road, and Harwood Avenue in Ajax and Stevenson Road in Oshawa.
Other entries cover the corridor between Harmony Road in Oshawa and Boundary Road near Port Hope, as well as future work near Ritson and Harmony. Drivers should review the exact date attached to each listing because the September 19 schedule includes projects beginning later in the month.
Three westbound lanes at Westney Road in Ajax were scheduled to close overnight through early Saturday, while another Westney Road operation continues on selected nights through September 26.
North Durham and connecting routes affected
Highways 7, 7A, 7/12 and 12 have alternating or right-lane restrictions in Whitby, Brock and Scugog. Work includes sections near Sunderland, Port Perry, Cragg Road and the Highway 48 junction.
Highway 35/115 restrictions continue in Clarington, and Highway 407 ramps and lanes in Whitby, Ajax and Pickering have several upcoming schedules. Highway 412 also has work near Dundas Street and the truck inspection station.
