Oshawa Convergence festival road closures will send five Durham Region Transit routes off their regular paths downtown this weekend.
The Oshawa Convergence transit detours begin at 7 a.m. Saturday, September 19, and are scheduled to continue until 11:30 p.m. Sunday, September 20. Routes PULSE 900, PULSE 901, 902, N1 and N2 are affected.
Route-by-route detours
- PULSE 900 eastbound: Park Road, Adelaide Avenue and Mary Street. Westbound buses remain on their regular route.
- PULSE 901 northbound: Gibb Street, Park Road and Adelaide Avenue. Southbound buses remain on their regular route.
- Route 902 eastbound: Park Road, Adelaide Avenue and Mary Street. Westbound service remains on its regular route.
- Route N1 eastbound: Park Road, Adelaide Avenue and Mary Street. Westbound service remains on its regular route.
- Route N2 northbound: Bloor Street, Stevenson Road, King Street, Park Road and Adelaide Avenue. Southbound service remains on its regular route.
Temporary stops will be available
DRT says buses will serve temporary stops on Park Road northbound at Bond Street, north of Bond; Simcoe Street northbound at Adelaide Avenue, north of Adelaide; and Simcoe Street southbound at Adelaide Avenue, north of Adelaide.
All regular stops located along each detour path will also be served. Riders should allow extra time because downtown road closures and festival traffic may affect travel.
The detours are tied to the scheduled road closures for Oshawa Tourism’s Convergence Music and Art Festival. Riders should check DRT service alerts before travelling in case conditions or timing change.
