Scugog Township is set to receive more than $5.5 million over the next five years through a renewed municipal service funding agreement connected to the Great Blue Heron Casino. Although Great Blue Heron Casino is located on the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation, Scugog Township provides a range of municipal services that support casino operations. According to township officials, Scugog received approximately $1.106 million in casino-related funding during 2025.
