The landscapes of eastern Clarington have been transformed into a sea of vibrant color as Pingle’s Tulip Days 2026 officially welcomes back visitors for its second annual showcase. Hosted at the historic Pingle’s Farm Market near the village of Hampton, this year’s event features over one million tulip blooms across 30 different varieties. Now under the management of the McKay family (owners of Willowtree Farm), the festival has expanded into the largest tulip event in the Greater Toronto Area, blending horticultural beauty with a high-end farm-to-fork culinary experience.

Festival Highlights and Activities

Pingle’s Tulip Days 2026 offers more than just photo opportunities. The festival has been designed as a full-day family outing:

  • Pick-Your-Own Bouquets: Guests can visit the “Flower Bouquet Bar” to build their own custom arrangements from the sprawling fields.

  • Family Fun: Activities include a trikes racetrack, the “Billy’s Bouncer” inflatable, a giant straw pyramid, and the Pingle’s Slide Hill. The animal barn also remains a top draw for younger children.

  • Live Entertainment: Local musicians perform daily in both the tulip fields and the central courtyard.

  • Wagon Rides: For those who prefer not to walk the full extent of the million-bloom field, scenic wagon rides provide a comfortable alternative.

A “Farm-to-Fork” Culinary Experience

The 2026 season introduces an elevated menu that sets it apart from standard fair food. Signature items at the Pingle’s Tulip Days 2026 include:

  • Savory Options: Pear & Brie pizza, truffle fries, and traditional Dutch bitterballen.

  • Sweet Treats: Strawberry-rhubarb hand pies and the farm’s famous apple cider donuts.

  • Signature Drink: The Tulip Mocha Bliss—a coconut mocha served in a coconut-rimmed cup, topped with a custom tulip cookie.

Visitor Information and Tickets

The Pingle’s Tulip Days 2026 runs daily until May 24. Given the surge in popularity following its inaugural year, organizers have implemented a tiered ticketing system:

  • Hours: Monday to Friday (9 a.m. – 6 p.m.); Saturday and Sunday (9 a.m. – 8 p.m.).

  • Ticketing: Online pre-booking is mandatory for weekends but walk-ins are permitted on weekdays.

  • Savings: Visitors can save $5.00 per person by booking tickets in advance via the farm’s website.

  • Accessibility: Children 23 months and under are admitted free of charge.

Impact on the Clarington Community

The success of Pingle’s Tulip Days 2026 marks a significant win for local agritourism. Since taking over from Walter and Colleen Pingle in 2020, the McKay family has successfully modernized the 37-year-old farm while maintaining its rural charm. The festival not only draws thousands of visitors from Toronto and the GTA into Clarington but also creates seasonal employment for dozens of local residents and supports the regional “farm-to-table” supply chain.

For those simply looking for baked goods, the Pingle’s Market remains open to the public without a ticket required.
