Whitby Lights the Night opens with a November 27 festival from 5 to 9 p.m. at Civic Park. The Town lists the official tree-lighting ceremony for 5:30 p.m., alongside Santa, live entertainment, a Christmas farmers' market and family activities.
The opening program includes crafts, cookie decorating and an inclusive sensory room. A trolley and parking shuttle are also advertised. These festival activities belong to the opening event and should not be assumed to continue every night.
The light displays themselves continue from dusk until 10 p.m. through January 4, 2027 at Civic Park, Celebration Square and Grass Park. The ongoing illuminations and the one-night festival are distinct parts of the season.
