Uxbridge official results are now available for the October 26 municipal election, with the township’s results page replacing its earlier unofficial heading and linking a final summary of the vote.

The official page confirms Dave Barton’s 5,881 votes, or 64.2 per cent, in the mayoral race. Ian Giffin received 1,967 votes and Ted Eng received 1,310. The totals match the figures previously reported by All About Durham as unofficial; the new development is the municipality’s publication of official results.

Bruce Garrod received 6,762 votes in the regional councillor contest, ahead of Jeff Mittman’s 1,964. The township lists Pamela Beach with 737 votes in Ward 1 and Gordon Shreeve with 1,311 in Ward 2.

Craig Marlatt received 1,162 votes in Ward 3, Willie Popp received 1,920 in Ward 4, and Christine McKenzie received 1,098 in Ward 5. Each finished first in the corresponding ward tally on the official page.

Turnout is listed as 9,268 participating voters out of 18,771 electors, or 49.4 per cent. That municipality-wide measure is separate from votes cast in the mayoral contest; the two should not be used interchangeably.

The Uxbridge official results page also lists school-board information and directs readers to Scugog for the official summary of the shared Durham District School Board trustee race. Readers should follow that cross-reference rather than assume a local tally alone represents the full reporting area.

The page was checked October 27. It does not display an exact publication time for the change to official status. This follow-up reports that final-status development, not a new mayoral vote count or a changed winner.
