Townline Road watermain repairs will bring lane restrictions and possible temporary changes in water pressure to parts of Oshawa and Clarington on November 4 and 5.
Durham Region issued the notice on November 3, advising that work is needed to repair an existing watermain safely.
Where restrictions apply
The affected stretch is Townline Road North between Kilmaurs Avenue and Margate Drive, along the Oshawa–Clarington boundary.
The Region describes lane restrictions rather than a full road closure. Drivers should proceed carefully around pedestrians, cyclists and crews working in the area.
Water pressure may fluctuate
Nearby residents and businesses may experience temporary water pressure fluctuations while the repair is underway. The notice does not give specific hours for those changes or announce a general water shutoff.
The Townline Road watermain repairs are weather-dependent, and unfavourable conditions could alter the schedule. The Region says it will work to finish as quickly and efficiently as possible.
