A new Tim Hortons donut created in collaboration with Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds is set to launch across the country, offering a uniquely Canadian flavour inspired by maple syrup.
The Tim Hortons donut called Ryan’s Signature Donut is a maple butter glazed treat developed with the Vancouver-born actor, best known for his role in Deadpool. This marks Reynolds’ second collaboration with the popular coffee chain.
The new Tim Hortons donut features a soft and fluffy texture, coated in a rich buttery glaze and finished with a drizzle of icing made from maple syrup. The company says the product is designed to highlight a classic Canadian taste that appeals to a wide audience.
Reynolds shared his excitement about the new release, joking that many of his earlier ideas involved salmon before settling on the maple-themed creation.
“It’s incredibly delicious and I am so excited for Canadians to try it,” Reynolds said in a statement.
Tim Hortons’ Chief Marketing Officer, Hope Bagozzi, described the Tim Hortons donut as a perfect combination of flavour and national identity.
“Ryan’s Signature Donut has an iconically Canadian flavour that Ryan loves, that we love, and that guests are going to love,” she said.
The new donut will officially be available starting March 23 at participating Tim Hortons locations across Canada.
In addition to the product launch, Tim Hortons and Reynolds are also supporting charitable initiatives. A limited-edition collection of fundraising T-shirts will be released, featuring artwork created by children connected to SickKids Foundation and Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.
Proceeds from the campaign will go toward supporting both organizations, adding a charitable component to the Tim Hortons donut launch.
