A Pickering mayoral debate recording is available online ahead of the October 26 municipal election, giving voters another way to hear four candidates before casting a ballot.
Between The Lakes presented the debate at Pickering Event Centre on October 20. The organizer shared the full-video link on October 22, and YouTube identifies the recording as a Between The Lakes presentation published by Fahad Rehman.
Four candidates on the programme
The organizer’s event listing names Kevin Ashe, Lisa Robinson, Janice Frampton and Doug Cornell as the participating mayoral candidates, with Rehman as host and moderator.
The advertised discussion covered housing and development, taxes, traffic, infrastructure and public safety. Those are the organizer’s stated topics; this notice does not assess the candidates’ performances or attribute specific policy promises from the recording.
A separate debate from earlier forums
This Pickering mayoral debate was scheduled for October 20, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Pickering Event Centre. It should not be confused with the earlier community-association mayoral forum held on October 7 or the September 23 board-of-trade forum.
The recording features four candidates, not the entire mayoral field. Voters can consult the City’s official candidate information to see everyone running and check election information before voting closes on October 26.
The link below opens the organizer’s recording on YouTube. This is an election-information notice, not an endorsement of a candidate or the event organizer.
