A 22-year-old man from Oshawa is facing multiple charges after attempting an Oshawa robbery at Church’s Chicken on January 26, 2026. The suspect, armed with a knife, entered the Church’s Chicken location on King Street East around 10:50 p.m. and demanded cash from an employee.
Durham police responded quickly, and the suspect was caught while waiting for the cash. Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported during the incident.
