A major high-rise development featuring four 35-storey residential towers and 1,492 housing units is being proposed for a key transit corridor in Pickering.
The project, planned for 1095 Kingston Road at the southwest corner of Kingston Road and Dixie Road, is being developed by The Biglieri Group and designed by BDP Quadrangle. The proposal will require a zoning amendment to proceed.
The development consists of two buildings containing four residential towers, each rising 35 storeys, and is expected to accommodate nearly 1,500 new residents.
The site is located along the future Durham–Scarborough rapid transit line, positioning it as a transit-oriented development. It is also situated near another major high-rise proposal at 705 Kingston Road, which includes five towers and 1,748 residential units.
Several large-scale projects are either under construction or in the planning stages along this Kingston Road corridor, with some proposed buildings exceeding 50 storeys, signalling rapid intensification in the area.
