Durham highway closures are scheduled across provincial routes on Sunday, September 13, with 37 active or upcoming lane and ramp restrictions listed for roadwork.
Drivers should expect overnight work on Highway 401 through Pickering, Ajax, Oshawa and Clarington, along with restrictions on Highways 35/115, 412 and 7A. Not every restriction is in effect simultaneously.
Highway 401 work across Durham
Nightly eastbound restrictions between Harmony Road in Oshawa and Boundary Road near Port Hope are scheduled through September 18. Westbound work between Boundary Road and Harmony Road is also listed through September 18.
Two alternating westbound lanes between Salem Road in Ajax and Brock Road in Pickering are scheduled nightly through September 22. Another westbound restriction between Stevenson Road in Oshawa and Salem Road is listed over the same period.
At Brock Road in Pickering, the eastbound and westbound off-ramps each have one left lane continuously closed until 5 a.m. Monday. Two left lanes on the westbound express route are scheduled nightly until 6 a.m. Monday.
Eastbound work between Harwood Avenue in Ajax and Stevenson Road in Oshawa is scheduled nightly through September 16. Westbound work between Brock Road and Whites Road is listed through September 22.
Other Durham routes
Highway 35/115 has alternating-lane restrictions in both directions near Highway 401 in Clarington through September 18. A daily northbound restriction on Highway 35 near Pontypool is scheduled through December 23.
Highway 412 restrictions near Dundas Street in Whitby are scheduled from September 15 to 19. A Highway 7A restriction in Port Perry is listed from September 14 to 19.
