Durham College puppy yoga registration opens at noon on Monday, November 2, for free student wellness sessions scheduled later this month.

The official Campus Recreation and Durham College Student Association notice lists three event dates, with sessions in Oshawa, at the Whitby campus and at Charles Hall. Students from Durham College and Ontario Tech University are eligible.

Three November dates

The announced schedule begins Monday, November 16, at the DCSA Student Centre in room SC217. The next date is Thursday, November 19, at the Whitby campus in CSTT 108.

Friday, November 20, sessions are planned for Charles Hall, with the room still to be determined in the notice.

Each one-hour session combines 45 minutes of yoga with 15 minutes of time to socialise with the puppies. Campus Recreation and the DCSA are presenting the programme with Pawsitivity.

One session per student

Students must register using their institutional email address, allowing organisers to confirm their Durham College or Ontario Tech affiliation. Participants may attend only one session during the event week.

The college says each scheduled session is limited to 25 people. Reservations are first-come, first-served, and the registration form asks students to rank their preferred time slots.

Students should keep their listed choices available until a calendar invitation confirms the assigned session. The announcement says organisers will try to accommodate first preferences before moving to other choices.

Arrival and cancellation considerations

Doors open 15 minutes before the session, allowing time to sign in. They close when the session begins, and late arrivals will not be admitted.

Attendance is free, but the college says a $5 charge will be applied to the student account of someone who accepts a scheduled session and then does not attend.

The Durham College puppy yoga programme is intended to support student well-being during a busy part of the semester. Current session times and availability should be checked through the official registration form linked from the college notice; an announced registration opening does not guarantee that spaces remain.
