  • Remove all decorations, including tinsel, lights, bulbs, wire, nails, tree stands and plastic bags.
  • Place trees at the curb by 7 a.m. on collection day, but no earlier than 7 p.m. the night before.
  • Do not bag trees — trees placed in plastic bags will not be collected.
  • Trees taller than three metres (10 feet) must be cut in half.
  • Ensure trees are not frozen to the ground or buried in snowbanks.
  • Do not place trees on top of or behind snowbanks — they must be fully accessible.
  • There is no limit to the number of trees collected per household.

Residents are encouraged to check their local waste calendar or municipal website for additional details.
