Bowmanville's holiday parade is listed for November 21 at 10:30 a.m. along King Street. The morning start gives families a different option from Durham's evening light parades and puts the celebration in the town's historic shopping district.
Durham Tourism says letters to Santa and non-perishable food donations for the Salvation Army are part of the occasion. Prepare those before leaving home, and use the organizer's website for final viewing and access information rather than assuming the entire street remains open to traffic.
